What is 4-Androsterone?

4- Androsterone otherwise known as Androstenedione is an endogenous steroid hormone and a molecular entity in the bio-synthesis of estrone and testosterone from DHEA. It is very closely related to Androstenediol. 

Androstenediol is a precursor of testosterone, other androgens and estrogens. Other than functioning as a pro-hormone, it has weak androgenic activity. It has also found to have some estrogenic activity however significantly lower in comparison.

4- Androsterone is a synthetic, non-methylated prohormone with a high metabolic rate that can serve as an additive to 1- Androsterone. 1- Androsterone does not convert to DHT or estrogen. It is important to take another supplement to balance the steroid : hormones ratio. 4- 

Androsterone and 1- Androsterone perfectly complement each other. First, 4-Androsterone converts to 4-Androstenediol and after that to testosterone.

What are the effects of 4-Androsterone?

It is believed that 4-Androsterone is more adequate for gaining muscles and strength as it takes far less time for 4-Androsterone to convert to testosterone.

This means that 4-Androsterone converts to little amounts of DHT and estrogen. It perfectly balances the effects provided by 1-Androsterone.

What dosage should I take?

4-ANDROSTERONE DOSAGE AND CYCLE METHOD

• 200-400mg daily. 
• It is advised to split this into two doses, one in the morning and one in the afternoon/evening.
• Cycle – 6-8 weeks then rest -6-8 weeks (same amount of time as your cycle). Make sure to get adequate post-cycle therapy.

If you are currently taking both 1-Androsterone and 4-Androserone simultaneously, we recommend you to half the dose of each and find out how your body responds to these supplements before taking a higher dosage, as both supplements have synergistic effects.
